Job Description:

Perform diagnostics, repair and rebuild of all types of trucks including but not limited to dump trucks. Perform diesel engine repairs and rebuilds as well as hydraulic systems and be versatile in both shop and field environments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Performs various skilled task such as engine, hydraulics and electronics on many types of trucks as well as other types of equipment.
  • Must own all tools needed to perform the duties of a construction equipment mechanic or truck mechanic.
  • May be required to repair equipment in an organized shop or perform repair work in the field as necessary.
  • Must be a motivated individual with the ability and willingness to work long hours.

Minimum Qualifications & Training: 

  • 5 years of experience in diesel engines and major repair/rebuild.
  • Must have a valid NC Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to learn and be a team player.
  • Ability to abide by precise instructions and strict buy necessary safety rules and regulations.

Tasks Essential to Job Functions:  

  • This job requires the following motions:  standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching and squatting.
  • Required regular lifting of or in excess of 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Walking and standing may require a full day of 12 to 15 hours.
  • Will be exposed sometimes to extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Job requires some night time and week end work.
