Summary: Set up and operate power press to assemble metal products by crimping, shaping, locking, staking, or press fitting, and punching

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Press Brake and Set-up Operator include the following.

  • Assembles, installs and aligns dies in press according to specifications.
  • Die set and set-up light curtains safely
  • Fluent in blue print reading
  • Must be able to check work using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges and other measuring devices.
  • Detect misalignment or malfunction of the equipment.
  • Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications, adjust machines to correct errors, inspect light curtains and other safety devices.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Palletize parts

Education and/or Experience                                                  

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
