At Balfour Beatty Construction in Charlotte, North Carolina we are seeking a Senior Marketing Project Lead to join our team. The Senior Marketing Project Lead will be responsible for managing marketing and communications projects such as proposals, presentations, advertising, brochure development, events, direct mail or other marketing campaigns. This position will also ensure adherence to company policies, consistency in messaging, and coordination of efforts in alignment with the Balfour Beatty Construction brand. This role will also provide support services for acquiring new business and for internal and external communications.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the preparation of responses to requests for proposals, qualifications, and other information required (schedule, plan, strategy, strip out assignments and follow-up, editing, kickoff/status meeting schedule, review, etc.).
  • Assist with responses to requests for proposals, qualifications, and other information required.
  • Work with executives and business unit leaders to support company’s visibility in target markets.
  • Contribute ideas and development in the strategic planning process.
  • Manage budget and financial accountability for projects as assigned.
  • Improve, refine and update boilerplate proposal information and presentations on a continual basis.
  • Coordinate with team to ensure efficiencies in sharing and archiving resumes, proposals, presentations, boilerplate, graphics, debriefs, etc.
  • Assist with presentation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors including photographers, design consultants, printers and suppliers to support in-house resources.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with owner and design team partners in pursuing projects, responding to client requests, and coordinating events (team kick-off meetings, design-build proposals, final photography, award submissions, press release and direct mail review, etc.).
  • Lead internal and external communications projects including awards nominations, new people announcements, newsletter, website and direct mail, as assigned.
  • Coordinate photo shoots (people and projects).
  • Actively participate in industry associations to professionally represent and promote Balfour Beatty either by committee involvement or committee/association leadership.
  • Provide training and guidance to and review work of marketing coordinator(s) and/or senior marketing coordinator(s).

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Marketing/Communications plus a minimum of three years of experience preferred, or a minimum of five years of similar experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience/Knowledge using Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines and in the face of incomplete information.
  • Ability to organize people, tools, equipment, and other resources and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish desired results.
  • Ability to create, manage, and revise schedules and related assignments based on priorities while considering work/life balance for self and others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Project management skills such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, implementing, measuring outcomes, etc.
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships, put others at ease and establish rapport; relate to all kinds of people at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, it values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
