Responsible for the ongoing responsibility of the maintenance of all church buildings and grounds in a safe, effective & efficient manner and the readiness of the church property for regularly scheduled use and for special events. Serves as a liaison with routine contract maintenance & supply companies as well as interviewing and selecting outside contractors for special projects. Able to proactively plan, assess Church needs and create a plan to address needs. Available to all parishioners, assists with annual book sale. Works both independently and on the management team communicating with all parish partners. Yardwork and set-up/take-downs also part of the position. Flexible hours, Sunday mornings a must. Occasional weekend work for special occasions.
Position requires a HS diploma and a background in facility or construction management. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality a must. Needs effective human relations skills.
$25,000/year for 32 hrs/week plus full health coverage and pension benefits from 5-9% of salary, both beginning immediately
