Position Overview

Wharton-Smith, Inc., a highly regarded construction company, is seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Assistant position in our Charlotte, NC office. This position can be full-time or part-time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and clients
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Process mail and packages
  • Prepare office and field files
  • Maintain office supplies
  • Make follow-up phone calls to clients and vendors
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Assist with various print, copy, and scan projects
  • Assist with delivering bids
  • Assist with updating Contract Manager (contract and document management control system)
  • Other general office and clerical duties as assigned

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks independently in a fast paced atmosphere
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientated and organized
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to perform routine functions on the Internet
  • Good spelling and grammar skills
  • Must have the ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License
